For the past eight years, 11-year-old Leigh and her family have held charity fundraisers and what started out as backyard parties have gone on to raise over $300,000.  At a very young age Leigh had the desire to give back and ensure that other children would benefit from the expert medical care she has received.

The plaque ceremony was held at Shriners Hospital-Tampa with the presentation by Imp. Sir Gary J. Bergenske, Member of Board of Directors Shriners International and Shriners Hospital for Children.

Bergenske stated that Leigh is a delight to be around, lighting up every room she enters.  She is a great ambassador for Shriner’s Hospital for Children, first as a patient and now as a donor contributing to the Tampa hospital.

“What an impact she is making on everyone who meets her,” Bergenske said.
