Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a scene, where it appears there was an accidental shooting involving two young boys.
Deputies went to 45 E. 13th Street in Apopka around 3.52 pm, where a 11-year-old boy shot his 10 year-old cousin in the tongue. Deputies believe that the boys were playing and the gun accidentally went off hitting the younger boy.
The 10-year-old was transported to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and is expected to be okay.
Meanwhile, Eyewitness News is reporting that the father and the 11-year-old boy, the shooter fled the scene of the incident and are missing.
Detectives searched the scene with K-9s looking for Robert Lee Hart, 36 years, and the gun. Hart, a convicted felon could face charges when he is found.
OCSO deputies are continuing with their investigation.
