Quilt artists are proudly presenting their talents at the 2018 World Quit Show Florida happening at the Orange County Convention Center. World Quilt Florida will take place January 18th-20th and will feature many exhibits at the show which will be entries to the Florida Quilt Competition. Held in Hall WE2 – West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center, the festival will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. This unique quilt and textile event offers attendees a trip around the world – no passport needed.

“This is the most comprehensive collection of international quilts displayed in the US,” said David Mancuso, President of Mancuso Show Management.

The impressive quilt art showcase will feature works by Florida’s most talented quilt and textile artists. World Quilt Florida is an incredible opportunity for quilters from across the Sunshine State to experience the talent and creativity of their fellow enthusiasts. Show-goers also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite competition quilt to win the prestigious Viewers Choice Award.

In addition, World Quilt Florida will have an amazing collection of special exhibitions from around the country. This year, several guilds from Florida are also taking part in World Quilt in the best way they know – by creating quilts. There will be a lot of beauty, talent and fabric in one room. World Quilt is proud to include “hometown” special exhibits from the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild, the Out-of-the-Box Design Group, Gone to Pieces Quilters, Miami Art Quilters, Gold Coast Quilters Guild, Quilters Innovative Design, South Florida Modern Quilt Guild, Palm Beach County Quilters Guild, Hibiscus Quilt Guild of South Florida and the Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild.

As if this isn’t enough, also on display will be over 170 international entries of the 2017 World Quilt Competition and other exhibits from across the country. Of special interest to Floridians is the Fly Me to the Moon special exhibit for which artists from 8 countries created art quilts celebrating man’s first walk on the moon and the Apollo Missions.
