Walmart workers in Southern California launched a one-day strike to protest retaliation against their colleagues who have taken a stand over the retail giant’s working conditions.
On Thursday, hundred of workers and their supporters rallied in front of a Southern California retail store, democracynow.org reports.
The strike comes on the heels of walkouts at warehouses in California and Illinois that supply the retail giant.
Earlier this week, five employees discussed their concerns with Wall Street analysts. The Walmart workers recounted first-hand the retailer’s unfair labor practices, including poor working conditions and low wages.
