An Orlando driver is facing a slew of charges, accused of driving recklessly and ramming his car into the back of an FHP trooper’s vehicle, twice.
Florida Highway Patrol say, 28-year-old Alexis Giraldo was driving on State Road 408 just after 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at a high rate of speed. But when a trooper tried to pull him over Giraldo took off, exiting at Goldenrod Road and traveling onto Lake Underhill Road.

The Honda that Giraldo was driving was successfully stopped with the PIT at Lake Underhill Road and Econlockhatchee Trail. But Giraldo exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Giraldo was tased and taken into custody. He was transported to Florida Hospital East, complaining of injuries.
Giraldo is now facing a number of charges, including, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, felony fleeing and alluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving on a revoked license, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and reckless driving.
Once released from hospital, Giraldo will be booked into the Orange County Jail.
