Matthew Falconer, a small business owner, is in the race for Orange County Mayor because he believes that the “current policy of taxing, spending and increasing debt” is harmful to the economy and he wants to set a new direction. Falconer made these comments in an exclusive interview recently with West Orlando News.
“I have written two books on how to deliver government services more efficiently. In my books I’ve stated why a high level of government spending is harmful to our country,” Falconer said. “Everybody that I talk to agrees with me…So, I decided to run for office to change the direction of our high tax, high spending government ways.”
Falconer believes that his Economic Recovery Plan will “create a healthy small business environment by lowering taxes, giving consumers more disposable income…. and attract capital from outside of Florida to buy up the housing stock in Florida and put contractors back to work.” It is the exact of what his opponents have done over the last eight years, Falconer says.
Falconer also said that, his opponents have “all voted to spend taxpayers money recklessly.”
