Casey Anthony may be dropping her lead defense attorney Jose Baez, instrumental in gaining her acquittal for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, because she is angry over the publicity surrounding her first sit-down interview.
According to the New York Post, Anthony is upset that Baez has been continuously in the spotlight, but has so far failed to secure a big interview for her.
With Baez’ dumping apparently imminent, there is speculation that Cheney Mason, another of Anthony’s attorneys, will be the one interfacing with the media instead.
Last week, a video diary which Anthony made surfaced on the Internet, which her attorneys claimed was leaked to the public. One day later, more photos of Anthony were also made public. There are reports that Anthony told her probation officer her computer had been hacked and she was upset over the release of her video diary.
Baez said he would sue the perpetrator of the leak in an interview with Geraldo Rivera on Sunday, nypost.com reports.
Anthony has not been seen in public since walking out of the Orange County Jail, a free woman, on July 18, 2011. She remains in an undisclosed location in Florida serving probation for one year, on check fraud charges.
