Air Jamaica will no longer be flying to Orlando come April 12th as the airline is scaling back on several of its routes.
In a recent statement, Bruce Nobles, CEO and president of the airline said that the airline was reducing the size of its fleet. “This fleet reduction has become necessary as we seek to meet our financial obligations; however, Air Jamaica continues to be the best choice for convenient schedule and excellent service, as we have ensured that adequate capacity is provided on our core routes,” Nobles said.
Air Jamaica is also disbanding their Grenada, Curacao, Nassau and Havana routes effective March 9th, as well as the New York and Chicago flights on April 12th.
Earlier this month, low budget airlines, AirTran and Jet Blue announced that they had added new service to the island of Jamaica.
