A man who confessed to killing his 3-month-old child Wednesday, has been charged with first degree murder.
Osceola County deputies say, 28-year-old Larry Perry called 911 operators just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday to say he had hurt his infant son.
When investigators arrived at 1404 11th Street in St. Cloud, they immediately transported the 3-month-old baby via medical helicopter to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Perry, the child’s father, was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Cloud Police Department for questioning. He provided a detailed statement as to why and how he killed the child. Investigators have not revealed how Perry killed his son.
Perry has since been transported to the Osceola County Jail. Investigators say, no other children were present in the home during the incident.
Investigators say, the mother of the child, who is incarcerated at the Osceola County Jail on unrelated charges, was notified of the child’s death.
This is an open and active investigation, authorities said.
