A jury yesterday convicted a Kissimmee woman for stabbing to death a man whom she claimed owned her money.
Shamiekka Ford, 33, was found guilty of killing then 36-year-old Alberto Rivera-Montanez, in September 2011.
At the time of the fatal stabbing, police said, Ford was upset because Rivera-Montanez had not paid her the money he owed.
Rivera-Montanez was found injured with stab wounds on East Vine Street in Kissimmee on September 30, but later died from his injuries.
Yesterday, the jury found Ford guilty of second degree murder. She will be sentenced in January 2013.
