Troopers are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Orange County’s west side on Sunday evening.
The accident happened just before 6:30 p.m., on Old Winter Garden Road, near Dorscher Road.
26-year-old Maurice Malcolm Jr., of Orlando, had been driving a motorcycle eastbound, when for an unknown reason, he lost control and struck a sign, troopers said.
Malcolm, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said, the 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle split into two pieces after the impact.
The crash remains under investigation.
