A man who barricaded himself inside a home with an AK-47, for more than six hours, eventually exited the residence just before 3:00 p.m, Friday.
Deputies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on 26-year-old Brett Yarborough at a home in the 900 block of N. Howell Street around 8:00 a.m., when he barricaded himself inside the residence.
Investigators say, several persons were evacuated from nearby homes, while deputies worked to get Yarborough to surrender peacefully.
After holding off deputies for nearly 7 hours, Yarborough exited the residence and was taken into custody around 3:00 p.m. He was booked into the Orange County Jail without bond.
Deputies say, the AK-47 was retrieved from the home and secured.
It is unknown why Yarborough is wanted by the authorities.
