Man Charged with House Burglary in College Park Area

A man who burglarized a residence in the College Park area on Tuesday, then rammed a police car in an effort to flee, is now in custody.

23-year-old Courtney D. Brown is charged with one count of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a motor vehicle and one count of residential burglary.

Orlando police said, a vehicle was backed into a driveway in the 3200 block on Oberlin Avenue with someone, later identified as Brown, sitting in the driver’s seat with the engine running.

When police attempted to make contact with the vehicle, Brown drove out of the driveway and rammed the police car.

Investigators said, the rear door of the residence was smashed and a witness told police he saw two other males running from the residence.

Brown was taken into custody and booked into the Orange County Jail.
