Deputies have taken into custody a suspect in the murder of a gay couple in their Wilton Manors home over the week-end.
Kevin M. Powell, 47 and his partner, Stephen D. Adams, 52, were found murdered in their home in Wilton Manors on Sunday.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies took Peter Serge Avsenew, 26, of Hollywood, into custody on Tuesday, at a residence in Dundee. Charges are pending.
A vehicle belonging to the slain couple–a black 2003 Saturn Vue with Florida tag 989VRL, has also been found.
