How is it that struggling, underpaid, poorly represented LYNX Riders can sit back and watch the fools on the Orange County Commission commit blunder after blunder on their behalf.
Dropping the ball on the LYNX meltdown is a prime example of complacency and do-nothing attitude of the Rich Crotty led County government. At least Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer would have made an effort.
I’m convinced that something is truly wrong with the residents of Orange County, particularly the urban dwellers who have been repeatedly dumped on, ignored and belittled. How they have managed to tolerate the disturbingly awful LYNX service with its overpaid CEO this long, deserves some speculation.
Poor scheduling, poor route planning, horrendous bus stops that sit atop ant nests, the woes go on and on.
Maybe the County should borrow the $30 million it needs from Burnham to continue offering this inadequate excuse for a bus service. Remember, they gave $300,000,000 in tax breaks to Burnham to provide 300 jobs over 10 years.
