The Zora Neale Hurston of the Arts and Humanities (ZORA! Festival) will introduce a new component to the 2010 festival with the formation of the Thousand Voice Multi-Cultural Community Choir. Festival organizers are hosting the third meeting for interested community members to learn about the multi-cultural choir.
All community members, including choirs, are welcome to attend the meeting. There is no cost to join and participation is open to all groups and genres. Children under 13 must have signed parental consent forms in order to participate.
The choir will be led by choirmaster Roger Mike and will perform at the 21st annual ZORA! Festival on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Mike is a distinguished musician who has been in the music industry for more than 40 years.
This year, the ZORA! Festival will be held from January 23-31, 2010, culminating with the Outdoor Festival of the Arts held in Eatonville.
