PICO United Florida is hosting a community prayer and march In God’s Time Tabernacle of Jesus at 436 S. Parramore Avenue in Orlando at 3:30pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 as a part of a national bus tour in the week leading up to the 50th anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
PICO National Network’s Lifelines to Healing Campaign, the national bus tour will build awareness around the persistent disparities that exist between King’s dream and the realities of being a person of color in 2013.
Leaders from the Parramore community will hold a press conference, march through the community in united prayer, and join PICO National Network’s Lifelines to Healing Campaign National Bus Tour to build awareness and celebrate this historical event.
