A woman was shot early on Tuesday morning by a drive-by shooter in the Holden Heights area, Orange County deputies said.
Deputies said, the victim, a white female, was asleep in the front room of the residence at 1222 West 23rd Street, when she was awakened by gunfire just before 5:30 a.m.
The victim was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies have not released the name of the woman.
The investigation is ongoing.
