Deputies are searching for a woman who robbed a Payless Shoe Store at gunpoint, Saturday night, on Orange County’s west side.

Two co-workers say, they were counting cash in a back room just after locking the front door of the Payless Shoe Store, when a black female suspect produced a handgun and ordered them to put money in a plastic bag.  It is believed that the suspect was hiding in the store when the workers locked the front door.

The co-workers say, the woman left the store through a rear door saying, she was sorry, but she has four children.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black female in her mid-20s, with brown hair and light brown eyes.  She was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt with a hood and a black vest over the shirt. She also wore camouflage pants and a black or camouflage bandanna across her lower face so only her eyes were visible.

The robbery at gunpoint happened around 8:15 p.n., on Saturday, at the Payless Shoe Store located at 2708 N. Pine Hills Road.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call crimeline at # 1-800-423-TIPS.
