Vets get Relief on Licensing Fees

One of the measures signed into law late Friday by Gov. Rick Scott waives some license fees for military veterans.

The bill (HB 887) allows the initial application fee and unlicensed activity fee to be waived for veterans returning for service for the first two years after they’re out of the military.

It would save them a few hundreds dollars, to more than a thousand, depending on the type of license, and applies to more than 20 professional licenses, from those in real estate to hairdressers.
