Urban Youth Prosper with Art

The Parramore League of Artistic Youth (PLAY) is a community program designed to provide youth with an opportunity to contribute to the beautification and cultural development of its residents. One of the ways they plan to accomplish this goal is by painting two historical murals, one at the Downtown Recreational Center located at 645 w. Livingston Street and the other at the Dr. J.B.Callahan Center located at 101 N. Parramore Avenue. PLAY began its first Summer Program on May 30, 2007 to serve the Youth and community of the Parramore area.
