Two Rutgers University students have been charged with invasion of privacy for using a camera to capture two sexual encounters of another student, Tyler Clementi, who later jumped to his death off the George Washington Bridge. The students are, Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, both 18 years.
thesmoking gun: One of the Rutgers University students, Ravi, charged with illegally filming a fellow student having sex (and then transmitting it live on the Internet) last week posted a Twitter message indicating that he used a webcam to watch his roommate “making out with a dude.”
In a September 19 post, Ravi reported that, “Roommate asked for the room till midnight. I went into molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay.”
