The Real Lou Pearlman

by Ezell Harris Jr.

Taking Off My Gloves And Telling It Like It Is

I would absolutely say the guy was a sexual predator. All the talent knew what Lou’s game was,” Steve Mooney, an aspiring singer who was Pearlman’s assistant, told VF’s Bryan Burrough. “Some guys joked about it. I remember [one singer] asking me, ‘Have you let Lou [fellate] you yet?’ “

Phoenix Stone, an early member of the Backstreet Boys, tells Vanity Fair Pearlman was “definitely inappropriate” with Nick Carter. Nick’s mom, Jane Carter, wouldn’t get into specifics, but said, “Certain things happened and it almost destroyed our family. I tried to warn everyone. I tried to warn all the mothers . . . I tried to expose him for what he was years ago.”

Righteous indignation prompted me to write this short article after reading Scott Maxwell’s article on the late-Lou Pearlman entitled: Maxwell: Lou Pearlman cozied with politicians as he schemed.

I must admit that I was disappointed with the article because Mr. Maxwell chose to leave out the most reprehensible actions (behavior) of Lou Pearlman, namely, that he was a known predatory pedophile. That in my opinion outweighs any other criminal action of Lou Pearlman even more than scamming more than 1,000 investors out of $315 million.

But in this post-Pulse Nightclub climate, individual moral accountability has been thrown out the window in favor of closing our collective eyes to reality. And the liberal news media is leading the way.

And if you think this conservative black Republican disabled veteran comments are off base, then why are the majority of you supporting Hillary Clinton for president knowing that there is the strong potentiality of having a known sexual predator as the First Man.

Yes! Hillary Clinton is running for president as an “advocate of women and girls,” but there is another shocking side to her story that has been carefully covered up—until now. Roger Stone’s stunning exposé, The Clintons’ War on Women, reveals for the first time how Bill and Hillary Clinton systematically abused women and others—sexually, physically, and psychologically—in their scramble for power and wealth. But as I said, individual moral accountability has been thrown out the window in favor of closing our collective eyes to reality. And the liberal news media is leading the way.

Well folks, I am not the one who buys the lies of the news media establishment. And I also know that there are a small number of you out there that are also not manipulated by the press. But back to the late-Lou Pearlman.

In 2009 while running for Orlando District 5 Commission seat, I took my opponent Commissioner Daisy Lynum to task for presenting a key to the city to Lou Pearlman. They knew about the sordid allegations against Lou Pearlman.

In 2002, the state launched at two-year probe into a modeling and “talent” agency Pearlman ran, one that had racked up 2,000 complaints from wanna-be stars who claimed they paid for services they never got.

I remember this well, because Lou Pearlman hosted an event at the Marriott World Center where thousands of young people from all across the country came and paid hundreds of dollars to participate in his talent show event. As a cab driver, I drove several dozen of them back to the Orlando International Airport. But even back then, I could see that Lou Pearlman’s talent show event was a scheme to get money from the thousands of participants.

Concerning law enforcement, I wonder how former Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary feels about making a Lou Pearlman, a known predatory pedophile, an honorary sheriff deputy? Did the fundraiser cloud his judgment of Mr. Pearlman’s persona? If Sheriff Kevin Beary couldn’t see this, he had absolutely no business being the county’s top law enforcement official.

But former Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary wasn’t the only one with questionable judgment. In 2004, after Charlie Crist was elected attorney general, his office closed the state investigation on Lou Pearlman. Mr. Crist, the epitome of a political opportunist, is devoid of all moral integrity. And that can be said about FBI Director James Comey for failing to recommend charges against Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Rodman Clinton concerning the Email Probe.

In closing, again, individual moral accountability has been thrown out the window in favor of closing our collective eyes to reality. And the liberal news media is leading the way to our spiritual destruction. Don’t sell your soul or vote to the devil.
