Terra Dyer, Other Murder Victims Remembered

Terra Dyer
Terra Dyer

Friends, family and well-wishes will gather on Friday, March 29th, for a picnic in the park to mark the one year anniversary of 18-year-old Terra Dyer’s murder.

Dyer was shot and killed on 29th Street and Rio Grande in the Holden Heights neighborhood, one year ago on March 29, 2012.  Her killer has never been caught.  An official opening of the Terra Dyer Memorial Park and Safety Zone is being planned and while some have made important contributions in Terra Dyer’s memory, more remains to be done.

On Friday, March 29, the family of Terra Dyer will hold a picnic in the park from 3:00 p.m. until the food runs out !! It is a potluck. There will be a tent with food that Terra Dyer loved, tables, hopefully chairs!, bring a chair in case…, bring a blanket, and enjoy the fellowship of the people who gather to promote a safer environment to live in and commemorate those who have lost their lives to violence on the streets of Orlando.

There are some updated collage pictures attached that show our progress as well as a current list of donators. Visit us at http://TerraDyerPark.com

Future plans call for 2 picnic tables, 4 park benches, 4 shade trees, a concrete slab for the pint-sized basketball court!, a safe gate that can be locked and an LED street lamp to keep the park safe at night.

We will have a donation can set up on the food table should you desire to help us out.

Please bring a good attitude and something good to eat ! Spread the word to friends ! All are welcome ! http://terradyerpark.com/

For future contact information and progress on the park, please email either Jonathan Blount at [email protected] or Rebecca Rae.
