Dyer Speaks to Young Dems
Orange County Young Democrats hosted Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer for an evening of open dialogue Tuesday, to talk about issues affecting young voters and new business owners. Dyer spoke on an array of issues including Orlando’s economy, Sun Rail, the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, parking downtown, and the homeless. He said that the City of Orlando led the state in jobs last year, fueled by strong tourists arrivals and a burgeoning hi-tech sector.
Fl Tourism Up, Despite Oil-Related Fall Off in Panhandle
Although there was much bad press regarding the threat of oil soaked beaches, Florida tourists arrivals were up for the second quarter of 2010, when compared to the same period in 2009, the state’s tourism marketing agency reported Monday, although the good news was uneven.
"
