Anthony Trial Sparks Senate Review of Policy
As a direct response to concerns raised by the Casey Anthony trial about child protection, Senate President Mike Haridopolos announced Friday the creation of a Select Committee on Protecting Florida’s Children to be chaired by Sen. Joe Negron, R-Stuart.
Perry: No Decision on Casey Serving Probation in Orlando

Still venting their anger over the not guilty Casey Anthony verdict, the wife of Cheney Mason, one of Casey’s defense attorneys, called 911 Tuesday night telling an operator she had received “threatening phone calls.”
