State Park to Close, Temporarily

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Talbot Islands State Parks will temporarily close the Big Talbot Island State Park boat ramp car parking lot and the George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State Park south entrance, south span and Sawpit Island. The closure will begin Tuesday, March 1, 2011, and remain closed until the completion of habitat restoration on Sawpit Island.

Visitors should use the Amelia Island State Park car parking lot or the George Crady Fishing Pier north entrance, both located at north end of bridge, as alternatives. The trailer parking area and boat ramp will remain open for towing-vehicle parking and boaters only.
