Santeria Legal?

Deputies responded to 908 Jadestone Circle in reference to a suspicious incident. Upon arrival they made contact Marc A Wasko (Homeowner’s Association President) who stated that earlier in the day he observed a large group of people go into 14201 Lake Underhill Road, during which time he observed several farm animals to include goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys in the garage.  He believed that the residents there were using these animals for “witchcraft”.

Deputies made contact with home owner, Hector Febus at 14201 Lake Underhill Rd who stated  that family members were conducting a religious ceremony according to their religion (Santaria). He stated the ceremony consisted of sacrificial offerings of the animals stated above. He further stated that the family would eat the offerings the next day according to their religion. The homeowner advised me that the animals
were not tortured, in violation of animal cruelty laws. He further stated that the animals were put down consistent with common animal meat butchering processes.
I gave the reporter a business card with a case number and advised him that there was no state statue that was
violated.

  1. I live in Jade Forest. I think this is just another example how others leave their counties to bring thier madness into the once beautiful USA. I respect others religions, however I do not support ANY type of sacrifices. Too many immigrants (many who can’t even speak English) are trying to change what our founding Fathers tried so hard to instill. We are celebrating July 4th because of what they did for us. It is time to close the doors and get this country back on track.
