Although the New Orleans Saints had the support of many fans, they were not viewed as the likely winner of Super Bowl 44. That was until they pulled off a surprise victory to beat the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17, in Miami yesterday.
New Orleans Saints, Drew Brees, the MVP, described the win as a “surreal moment”, saying this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America that there is “no feeling like it”. Now NFL Champs, Brees said its an “unbelievable feeling”, and not only is it a win for the team, but perhaps more so for the people of New Orleans who have been through so much in the wake of hurricane Katrina.
As victory celebrations played out in Miami and on Bourbon Street in New Orleans overnight, a number of Saints team members are headed today to Disney in Orlando to continue celebrating with a parade down Mainstreet USA, at Magic Kingdom.
Who dat? The Saints.
