Police Searching for Gunman On the Run

Orlando Police are searching for a gunman who shot at another man as he walked along on south Goldwyn Avenue, one week ago.

The shooter is Lemorris L. Love 19 years.  It is believed that Love fired on his victim from the rear passenger seat of a green BMW that fled the scene shortly after.

According to police, officers responded to the area south of Goldwyn Avenue and Columbia Street on Thursday, September 14th.

When investigators arrived they were directed to 907 south Goldwyn Avenue where they found a 24-year-old black male lying on the side walk. The victim had been shot in his lower right leg.

The victim, who was still conscious, was able to provide a brief account of the incident, telling police he was shot while walking in front of the Kwik Stop convenience store at 901 south Goldwyn Avenue. The victim said that he was shot by a black male armed with a semi-automatic handgun, from the rear passenger seat of a green BMW, possibly a 745.  The vehicle fled the scene east on Orange Center Boulevard.

The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Police have issued a warrant for Love’s arrest.  He is being charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.

Love’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
