Orange County Deputy Sheriff Arrested, Charged With DUI

An Orange County Deputy Sheriff has been arrested and charged with DUI.

Deputy Sheriff Gregory Popp, was taken into custody early on Sunday morning on State Road 528 near Dallas Boulevard, a statement from the Sheriff’s Office said.

While details are sketchy, Deputy Sheriff Popp has been with OCSO since 2007 and is assigned to the Agricultural/Marine Unit.

He has been relieved of his law enforcement duties, credentials and firearms, pending an internal investigation, the OCSO statement also said.
