A new elementary school in the Lake Nona area has been named for the 2021-22 school year.
Village Park Elementary is the name for a new school located at 12253 Lake Nona Gateway Rd. in Orlando. The school relieves Eagle Creek and Laureate Park elementary schools.
The Orange County School Board considered three possible names suggested by the community: Village Park Elementary, Village Walk Elementary and Watermark Elementary. The name Village Park Elementary was chosen because it represents the names of subdivisions zoned to the school. The school was previously known as site 43-E-SE-2 by OCPS.
