Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings, OCSO and local neighborhoods will come together for National Night Out where the focus is fighting crime.
Citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from all over the area will help to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for local anticrime partnerships, strengthen neighborhood spirit, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and doing their part to fight crime.
WHEN: Tuesday, October 6, 2015 Starting at 5 or 6 pm in most locations.
Sheriff Jerry L. Demings will attend these three locations:
Clarcona Resort – 3000 Clarcona Road Apopka, FL
People of Lockhart Community Association – 4925 Clarcona-Ocoee Road
South Pointe Action Group – 5310 Arpana Drive
WHO: The operation is a multi-agency effort involving members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orlando Police Department, Winter Park Police Department, University of Central Florida Police Department, Edgewood Police Department, the Apopka Police Department and many more.
Last year more than 38 million people participated in National Night Out.
