Man Suspected of Double Homicide Arrested in New York

A man suspected of a double homicide earlier this month in Orlando has been arrested.

Israel Adorno Ocasio - suspect

Israel Adorno Ocascio, 21 years, was taken into custody by on Monday, by U.S. Marshalls, in Manhattan, New York.

Ocasio is believed to have gunned down 24-year-old Brennen S. Minkley and 47-year-old Jose A. Flores on November 12. Minkely and Flores were found shot to death in a vehicle stopped in the road, in the 4000 block of Ponderosa Drive. Investigators said, Ocascio was quickly identified as a suspect in the double homicide.

A BOLO was issued and a warrant was obtained for Ocasio’s arrest, who was tracked to New York.  US Marshalls found him staying with a family member.

Ocasio was arrested without incident and is currently awaiting extradition to Florida.

Deputies would not say what was behind killing of Minkley and Flores.

The investigation is on going.
