Man Posing as Employer Rapes 18-Year-Old

Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Bernard Peter Mosco, Jr., 42, of Orlando and charged him with 2 counts of Sexual Battery of an 18-year-old woman.

Bernard Peter Mosco

The investigation began on September 21 when deputies took a report of sexual battery. The 18-year-old victim told detectives she responded to an employment advertisement on Craig’s List. She was contacted by “Bernie,” later identified as Bernard Peter Mosco, Jr. who told her he owned a nightclub called Bravo Bravo and was interviewing females to be “Shot Girls.”  The victim told Mosco she did not have transportation to meet him for an interview and they arranged for him to pick her up at her residence.

On September 21, Mosco took her to the Ramada Inn located at 2145 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee. He told her the interview would be in a motel room and would require her to drink alcohol. The victim became intoxicated and told deputies Mosco touched her inappropriately and forced her to have sex. She told detectives she complied with his demands because she was concerned for her safety.

Based on the information and evidence, detectives obtained a felony warrant and on September 22, Mosco was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident or any similar incident to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).

Deputies are continuing with the investigation.

  1. that’s very disturbing but then again who would believe that there’s a job interview at a motel and you had to drink? That’s a sign to leave right then and there. I think most girls just get drunk and forget what they are doing or don’t realize what they doing until the next day or a few hours later and regret it and take it out on other people..

  2. I completely agree with Kayla… I personally am overly careful about getting into a strangers car! I will usually ask for the employer/photographer to pay my transportation costs. Also, no professional would EVER require the potential employee to drink. This job isn’t for everyone, and I guess some girls get so starstruck by the idea of it that they forget common sense and make mistakes they normally wouldn’t make, very sad indeed.

  3. I dont know about this one. Id love to hear the other side of this story. This just appears far fetched that you would even go to a hotel room for an interview. Why didnt she ask him to stop the car the moment she was supposedly told where the interview would be held?.
Why didnt she run when she got out of the car? How did she get back home? let me quess ” he drove her “?
Why didnt she dial 911 on her cell phone?
    Why didnt she scream?
THERE JUST SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING ISNT ADDING UP HERE.

  4. This man is free and up to no good. I was desperate to find a job about six months ago and responded to several Craigslist ads for secretary work. I was contacted by the owner of a car dealership in cocoa florida. He was looking for an office manager and set an interview with me for 6pm that night. At around 530 I was getting ready to leave for the interview and I received a text from the man where he commented that I sound like a fun girl. This threw up a major red flag. So before leaving my house I ran a google search on his name and came upon this article. He is Bernie mosco. I immediately called the listed law enforcement agency and was told they can’t give me any info and can’t do anything about it. Needless to say, I didn’t go to the interview. I texted him back to politely decline the offer and he got very mad. He texted me back saying his employees make thousands of dollars and I’m a fool for not going through w the interview. Lesson learned. I will always research before meeting people from internet.
