Deputies recovered a hangun at the scene, after responding to a disturbance call at the school. Maya was arrested shortly thereafter.

Maya’s ex-wife, who had been shot, was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center. The extent of her injuries are unknown.

The shooting incident occurred in the back parking lot and children in the extended day program, were not involved in the incident.

Investigators believe that the shooting incident was an isolated one and came about as a result of a domestic dispute between Maya and his ex-wife.
