On Monday, May 5, Mayor Jacobs was greeted with cheers of “We love you, Teresa” from dozens of supporters, as she walked into the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office and submitted more than 9,000 petitions, to put her name on the ballot for the August 26 primary election for Orange County Mayor.
“I am very proud of the fact that the collection of petitions was a true grass roots effort. We have a great group of dedicated supporters whose efforts I deeply appreciate. I am humbled by the depth and breadth of support I have received for re-election. From each individual who signed a petition to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to collect the petitions, our support remains very strong. I look forward to continuing the good work we’ve been doing to ensure the future of Orange County remains bright.”
