Downtown Orlando continues to expand offerings and world-class amenities to provide a high quality of life for residents and visitors. As part of the I-4 Ultimate construction, a Bridge District will emerge under the I-4 overpass in Downtown Orlando.  The Bridge District is part of the community’s vision outlined through Project DTO that once complete, will include improved architecture and design features including aesthetic lighting, artwork and green space creating a new Downtown amenity and gathering place for our community.

In advance of that construction and as part of the I-4 Ultimate construction, parking in Lots 9 and 10 under the I-4 overpass will have limited availability. The Florida Department of Transportation has informed the City that on July 7, Lot 9 will be fully closed.  Lot 10 will be partially closed at a later date to be determined.  FDOT maintains that a minimum of 25% of the total parking spaces under I-4 will remain open during construction.
During construction, it is important for residents and visitors to be informed of alternative parking options. Downtown Orlando offers more than 28,000 public parking spaces that are easily accessible and conveniently located throughout the urban core.

Once the I-4 Ultimate Project is complete, this 21-mile makeover will transform our region and enhance livability in our community, for our businesses and our citizens, while improving travel and increasing economic opportunity and growth.
During construction, the City encourages patrons to consider using alternative modes of transportation to head into and get around Downtown. Alternate forms of transportation include: SunRail, Carshare, Juice Bike Share, LYNX, LYMMO, carpooling and adjusting schedules when possible to avoid traffic delays and parking.
Partial parking closures will begin in Lot 9 early July followed by Lot 10 at a later date to be determined. Partial closure will remain throughout the construction of the I-4 Ultimate project.
Partial closures of:
Parking Lot 9
57 South Hughey Avenue
Parking Lot 10
81 North Hughey Avenue
