Frontier Announces New Nonstop Summer Vacation Routes from Orlando

Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines announced two new nonstop routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Saint Maarten and San Jose, Costa Rica beginning in July 2021. With the announcement, Frontier now offers 62 nonstop Orlando destinations. To celebrate the new service, Frontier is offering special low fares.

“We’re thrilled to announce two new Orlando routes with nonstop flights to Saint Maarten and San Jose, Costa Rica beginning right in time for summer travel,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “Summer is quickly approaching, and Frontier’s affordable flights and more than 62 nonstop Orlando destinations make it easy to book a family vacation or getaway with friends.”

“As we continue to see travel restrictions ease, it’s positive news for Central Florida travelers to have even more destinations to fly to from the state’s busiest airport this upcoming summer,” said Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Additional service to San Jose, Costa Rica, and our first-ever service to Saint Maarten, adds to the continued recovery at Orlando International Airport as we approach what is typically a busy travel period for the region.”

Frontier requires all customers and crew members wear a face covering throughout their travel journey. Plus, anyone flying with Frontier must complete a health acknowledgement prior to flying confirming that:

  • Neither they nor anyone in their household has exhibited Covid-19 related symptoms in the last 14 days
  • They will wash their hands/sanitize before boarding the flight
  • They understand and acknowledge the airline’s face covering policy and pre-boarding temperature screening policies

During flight, main cabin air is a mix of fresh air drawn from outside and air that has been passed through an air filtration system that features HEPA filters capable of capturing respiratory virus particles at more than 99.9% efficiency – similar to those used in hospital environments. Frontier’s modern all-Airbus fleet is among the youngest in the world, with an average age of approximately four years.
