An Altamonte Springs teenager, run over by a hit and run driver last month, died Sunday afternoon, troopers said.
16-year-old Jorge Orlando Ardoleda, who was critically injured after being run over on La Salle Drive near Northwestern Avenue, died just after 2:00 p.m., at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Ardoleda’s girlfriend, 22-year-old Carmen Lydia Martinez, of Apopka, was also killed by the hit and run driver. Â Both Ardoleda and Martinez were lying in the road way when they were struck just after 8:30 p.m. on October 10. Â She died on her way to the hospital.
Troopers said, the hit-and-run driver left the scene, traveling north on Northwestern Avenue. They are looking for a white or silver passenger car with right front damage. The right, front headlight will be damaged or may be missing.
Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact FHP at 407-737-2213. The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, troopers said.
