Familiar Face

The Orlando Magic faced off Sunday against former shooting guard JJ Redick and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Redick hardly had a great game finishing only with four points but his team got the important 115-109 win over Orlando.

“It was strange playing against those guys but that’s how the NBA goes,” Redick said post game.

As it turns out the Magic hardly look the same from even just last year.

Over the past few seasons, the losses of Rashad Lewis, Courtney Lee, Gilbert Arenas, Quinton Richardson, Dwight Howard and former head coach Stan Van Gundy really set the stage for JJ to play against the name on the front of the jersey.

Monta Ellis led the Bucks with 39 points followed by Brandon Jennings 15 points and 14 assists.

“My teammates had faith in me to give me the ball at the time and I was able to knock down shots. I didn’t think about it, I just shot,” Ellis said of his game high 39 points.

The Bucks who are holding on to the 8th seeds in the Eastern Conference, also known as the team who gets to play the Miami Heat in the 1st round, finished the game on a 30-12 run.

Arron Afflalo lead the Magic with 24 points while Moe Harkless chipped in 23 points.

Orlando will now travel to play the Indiana Pacers Tuesday, tip off set for 7pm.
