Rachel Sawyer’s 14 kills and a team-high 23 digs led DP volleyball to a four-game road victory over rival Olympia last night. DP picked up a close win in the first game, 25-22, and fell by the same margin in the second, 22-25.  DP dominated in games three and four with 25-12 and 25-11 victories. Michelle Maki finished with 14 kills and 11 digs, Ionna McKenzie registered seven kills and six blocks.  Courtney Maladecki closed out with seven kills and Hannah Schaible recorded 18 digs.  JV Volleyball started strong against Olympia with a 25-14 victory in game one but couldn’t hang on in games two (19-25) and three (13-15) as they dropped to 2-2 on the season.  The Panthers are now 3-1.  They will travel tonight to Lake Highland and host Wekiva tomorrow night.

Swimming opens their season vs. Boone at the YMCA Aquatic Center; Women’s Golf takes on Lake Nona and Men’s Golf hosts Olympia, both at Orange Tree; and Bowling opens up their season hosting Evans at World Bowl.  You can find more information about specific team schedules and results at http://dpathletics.ocps.net.
