Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a disturbance and shooting around 10:30 pm, last night at the Citgo gas station on Powers Drive.
According to OCSO:
Orange County Deputies were dispatched to 719 Powers Drive in West Orange County in reference to reports that a man had been shot. According to witnesses several black males were embroiled in a disturbance in the parking lot of the Citgo gas station at that address. Witnesses reported that they saw two of the black males run from the scene of the fight and that they were followed by a vehicle and that several shots were fired at the two men from that vehicle.
One of the men, reported to be a 24 year old black male, was wounded by the volley of gunfire. He was transported to ORMC where he was treated for, what was described by the attending physician, as a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his head.
Evidence at the scene and information provided by witnesses suggests that the shooting may have been connected with an armed robbery or attempted armed robbery however investigators are working to establish a clear cut motive.
Deputies continue with their investigation.
