The Homicide Unit of the Orlando Police Department has indicated that the deaths of an elderly couple, who were found in their home among several exotic animals, were from natural causes.
Last August 2009, at about 1:30 PM Orlando Police Department responded to 303 W. Par Street to check the well being of the residents. When Officers arrived they found 2 deceased inside. An elderly male and an elderly female. In the home police found 4 monkeys, 1 spider, 3 capuchin, 20 birds, 9 dogs and 5 cats.
At the time, Fish and Wildlife Commission along with Animal Control assisted with the animals.
The names of the deceased are: Kathryn Whitson, 72 years and Walter Simpson , also 72 years old.
