Orange County deputies say, the 15-year-old girl caught in the crossfire of gunshots as she rode in the back seat of a van on Sunday, remains in critical condition.
Danielle Sampson, 15, was riding with her parents on Sunday evening on North Lane, in the Pine Hills area around 6:30 p.m., when shots rang out. The gunfire broke the rear window of the van and Danielle was struck by a bullet, investigators say. Â The family was on their way to church at the time of the shooting.
Investigators are looking for a charcoal-colored SUV that was in the area at the time of the shooting. They are also looking for a tan sedan that may also have been involved in the incident.
Initial information indicated one of the vehicles driven by a suspect was a Chevy Equinox. However, detectives believe it could have been an SUV that is similar to the Equinox in make, model and color.
