The Slimy Side of Rick Scott Just Keeps Popping Up All Over
Rick Scott is determined to leave his snail trail of slime all over the government of Florida. His latest little escapade of moral degeneracy comes in the form changing healthcare reform and drug testing all state workers. On the surface this may appear to be a good idea, but it is far more sinister than it seems.
Dodging Sunshine: What Did and Does Rick Scott Have To Hide?
By the time Rick Scott “resigned” Columbia/HCA had an income of $19 million from 340 hospitals, 55 in Florida, not to mention all the home – health agencies…550 in 37 states. It had become the largest for profit hospital chain in the nation, and the ninth largest employer.
I Just Don’t Like Ricky
These past years have been hard on everyone. Employment is out of control, homelessness is rampant and worse yet Rick Scott is the governor of our state. I just don’t like the man, and there are plenty of reasons any sane person would have grounds to question his intents and who he may be in bed with, leading him to make the decisions he’s making.
The Problem with Ricky
Yep, for twenty years this state has been trying to get high speed rail. So here we are. Rick Scott in his infinite business wisdom (remember the money he had to pay the government for fraud while CEO of Columbia/HCA) has decided it is best for the state of Florida to not have high speed rail.
Magic Growl at the Grizzlies
The Magic ended their three game at-home losing streak before a sellout crowd by beating the Memphis Grizzlies 89 to 72 at the Amway Center. The Grizzlies never had the lead, although some strong play by Gasol in the third quarter closed the gap to five, only to see the Magic start rolling again to end the game with a seventeen point lead.
Should Social Security Be Privatized?
Many are worried about the status of the program and of course congress is debating answers on a fix, to include privatizing the program. Both sides of the argument, and I mean argument, are screaming. There doesn’t seem to be a middle bracket for the argument from many of the people I have spoken with, but if the program is to survive, there has to be an answer now.
The Beat Goes On 148 Years Later
Today is the 148th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, a relatively forgotten anniversary. Everyone has heard of the manner in which Abraham Lincoln addressed the slavery issue, but few know what it actually accomplished outside the obvious. Everyone remembers the warriors of the civil right movement such as MLK and Malcolm X, but there’s a name often forgotten as much as the anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.
