ORLANDO MAGIC PLAYERS, STAFF FEED THOUSANDS

Orlando Magic players Dwight Howard, J.J. Redick, Jameer Nelson, Orlando Magic President Alex Martins, Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw and staff to feed approximately 2,200 Central Florida children and families through Thanksgiving meal distributions, complete with turkeys and all the fixings; and serve a breakfast, provided by Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy, to Coalition for the Homeless residents.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service (USDA) reported today that 1,063,864 households (14.2%) in Florida are food insecure — meaning they lack consistent access to a nutritious, well-balanced diet. The findings also revealed that over 457,000 households (6.1%) are at risk of hunger.
