Bizarre: George Zimmerman Has A ‘Special’ God

Trayvon Martin’s parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton said Thursday on national television, it was not part of God’s plan that their son should be killed.

Martin and Fulton were responding to the wild claim by Trayvon’s shooter, George Zimmerman who told conservative Fox News talk show host Sean Hannity on Wednesday night he had no regrets about killing the teen and it was “all God’s plan.”

“Is there anything that you regret? Do you regret getting out of the car to follow Trayon that night?” Hannity asked. “Do you regret that you had a gun that night?”

“No, sir,” Zimmerman, 28, replied. “I feel that it was all God’s plan and not for me to second-guess it or judge it.”

Asked about it on the NBC’s “Today” show, Fulton said the notion was “ridiculous.”

Shortly after Zimmerman’s interview aired on Wednesday night, Martin told the Associated Press: “We must worship a different God. There is no way that my God wanted George Zimmerman to murder my teenage son.”

Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teen.  Zimmerman said, he shot the teen in self defense.

Zimmerman again, apologized to Martin’s parents for the teen’s death.

“I can’t imagine what it must feel like. And I pray for them daily,” Zimmerman said. Later, he added: “I am sorry that this happened.”

But Martin’s parents have difficulty accepting his apology as Zimmerman has stated he regrets nothing in relation to killing the teen.

On the night Zimmerman shot Martin, during a 911 call to a dispatcher, he was told not to follow the teen and that police were on their way to the gated community.  Nonetheless, according to police reports, Zimmerman did get out of his car. He told investigators he was trying to keep an eye on Martin and get a more precise address.

Asked about his pursuit of Martin during the interview, Zimmerman replied:

“I hadn’t given them a correct address. I was going to give them the actual address,” he said. “I meant that I was going in the same direction as him. I didn’t mean that I was actually pursuing him.”

Zimmerman has claimed that Martin was the one who attacked him and that after he got out of his car, the teen punched him in the face and broke his nose. He has also said he was thrown to the ground and that Martin straddled him and began slamming his head into the concrete sidewalk.   At some point he began to fear for his life, he told authorities.

Zimmerman denied that racism had anything to do with his killing the teen.

“I’m not a racist and I’m not a murderer,” he said.

After last night’s interview, many speculate that Zimmerman will take the stand in his own defense.
