Transitioning to college will be a little bit easier for 30 Orlando area students, as they each receive a $1,000 college scholarship and a ZTE Velox tablet.

It’s all part of Aio Wireless’ 30-Days, 30-Dreams, a campaign designed to reinvigorate nonprofit programs that create opportunities for future leaders.

Aio Wireless began operations on May 9th in Orlando, Tampa, and Houston, and plans to expand nationwide over the next year. The company has a strong commitment to the local communities it will serve. Today’s announcement marks the beginning of a broader program that Aio will roll out in the next few weeks that has education, volunteerism, and community beautification at its heart.

In Orlando, Aio collaborated with Latino Leadership, Inc., and Orange County Take Stock in Children – Valencia College, to identify the 30 recipients of the $1,000 scholarships. ZTE, one of Aio’s device manufacturers, agreed to donate a ZTE Velox tablet to every student receiving a scholarship.

Over the next 30 days, the stories, dreams and aspirations of the scholarship recipients will be highlighted on Aio’s community blog and Facebook page to celebrate, encourage and inspire achievement. The scholarships and tablets will be presented during Aio Wireless’ 30-Days, 30-Dreams Celebration Tues., June 4, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Orlando Museum of Art.

“30 Days 30 Dreams is about locking arms with organizations that make dreams a reality for people who live and work in the neighborhoods Aio Wireless serves and operates in. Our inaugural campaign focuses on supporting deserving Orlando-area students on their way to college,” said Norelie Garcia, Aio’s director of sponsorships and community.

Tablets are transforming education, which is why ZTE is donating ZTE Velox tablets to the 30 scholarship recipients.

“We are delighted to be a part of Aio’s 30 Days, 30 Dreams, and equally delighted to see the profound impact our tablets will have on the deserving students’ continuing education,” said Samuel Sun, Executive Vice President of ZTE USA, Inc.
