Woman Mailed Knife to Young Daughters to Kill their Grandparents, Jailed
A Lakeland, Florida mother remains in jail, after deputies say, she hatched a plan to kill her in-laws, the children’s grandparents.
31-year-old Leticia Silva is suspected of mailing a pocket knife to her daughters, ages seven and nine, with instructions on how to go about killing their paternal grandparents, wnct.com reported.
The ‘plot’ to kill the grandparents was foiled when the grandmother actually found a knife under the pillow in one of the children’s bedrooms, investigators said, wnct.com also reported.
The grandparents who live in Pitt County, North Carolina, have had full custody of Silva’s daughters for the past several years.
Silva, has been charged with four counts of first-degree solicitation to commit murder and remains in the Pitt County Detention Center on a $5 million bond.
